Scope
ICR was tasked with completing an urgent Quickflange™ installation at a major natural gas production hub in the Dutch sector of the North Sea.
The client required bespoke modifications to a high-pressure carbon steel vent line within the asset, with minimal operational downtime.
Given the nature of the line, a cold work solution was essential, making Quickflange™ the optimal choice for this critical project.
Solution
ICR engaged its Netherlands-based partner, Diflicom, to ensure rapid mobilisation of both materials and personnel to the site, enabling the tight deadline to be met.
A technical review of the pipework and process conditions was completed to design an optimal Quickflange™ solution.
Once the line was safely isolated and the cold cut completed, the Quickflange™ installation and subsequent testing were carried out quickly and efficiently.
Result
By collaborating with Diflicom, ICR ensured that all of the customer’s requirements were met within the desired timeframe and budget, while also eliminating the need for any hot work.
The asset was back online the day after the installation, demonstrating the rapid performance and efficiency of our Quickflange™ technology.
