ICR Completes Major Composite Repair Project in the Marine Sector
Technowrap™ composite repairs support much more than the global oil and gas industry. ICR continues to expand its footprint across the UK and European marine sector, and was recently entrusted with a large-scale repair project aboard one of the world’s most advanced ultra-deepwater pipelay and subsea construction vessels.
Seeking DNV-compliant pipe repairs for its offshore vessel, this global energy company requested ICR’s support to deliver 11 engineered composite repairs in situ on corroded carbon steel pipes of varying geometries, media, and locations, ranging from 3″ to 6″.
The repairs were completed in minimal time while the vessel was in port in the UK and in transit off the coast of Spain, highlighting ICR’s flexibility and ability to minimise disruption to our customer’s operations.
