Quickflange™ Weldless Connectors

We are looking for a Technician to join the Quickflange team, based in Aberdeen.

The Technician will be responsible for participating in workshop activities based in Aberdeen, primarily for
Quickflange equipment and materials in order to support the global business and meet customer requirements.
This includes but is not limited to stock control, equipment maintenance and customer training both in workshop
and on sites. There will also be a requirement to work offshore / onsite as and when required.
Additionally, the Technician will assist in general workshop duties including supporting other services lines within
ICR, this will include Chemical Injection Utilities and Integrity Monitoring Solutions. This will also include ensuring
any work is carried out within specified time periods in compliance with all ICR procedures.
This role will report to the Workshop and Stores Manager.
The main tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • To carry out planned and “as required” maintenance and testing of Quickflange™ equipment, but also
    any equipment as business needs arise.
  • Pressure test, function test and certify equipment for mobilisation.
  • To perform QA/QC activities on all manufactured flanges and kit arriving from 3rd party manufacturers.
  • Be available for any offshore installation requirements in line with the Business Unit requirements after
    training has been provided.
  • Ensure toolbox talks and risk assessments are carried out and signed off in-line with any testing of
    pressurised equipment.
  • Carry out routine stock takes of all Quickflange™ equipment, including; tooling, flanges, training
    equipment and ancillaries.
  • Assist with inventory and ensure all minimum/maximum levels are agreed with Quickflange™ Business
    Manager and are continuously in stock.
  • Assist with organising general workshop tasks if workload demands.
  • Assist with maintenance and continual improvement of company asset registers and trackers.
  • Assist with ensuring that the workshop, and training areas are adequately maintained, organised and
    kept in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Train clients and other Quickflange™ technicians in the use of Quickflange™ in order to provide the
    correct level of assessment for the skills required.
  • Assist with process improvement ideas with regards the Service Realisation and other processes.
  • Installation of Quickflange™on the customers site in a safe and timely manner when required. This may
    be offshore.
  • Maintain records in accordance with internal quality systems, procedures and ISO 9001.
  • Comply with the Company Quality and Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ensure good, safe working practices in the workshop are maintained at all times with compliance to the
    Company’s HSE policies.
    Key Responsibilities:
  • To undertake all workshop activities in compliance with ICR procedures
  • Assist with day to day deliverables and ensure client deadlines are met.
  • Maintain the Flange Handling procedure best practice whilst moving or storing equipment to eliminate
    any risk of damage of equipment.
  • Ensure all reporting mechanisms are communicated and used across the department.
  • Deliver any training requirements after training has been undertaken by the technician.
  • Become totally conversant and have a full and detailed understanding of all the ICR business processes
    and how they apply in the running of the business.
  • Take responsibility for your own safety and for the safety of others working within ICR and whilst
    representing ICR on an external work site.
  • Ensuring the application of HSEQ controls.
    Key Skills, Attributes and Experience:
  • Valid BOSIET / FOET Offshore Survival
  • Valid OGUK Medical Certificate
  • Valid Minimum Industrial Safety Training (MIST)
  • Relevant pressure test, repair or manufacturing experience
  • Experience of mechanical repair and maintenance (Preferred)
  • Pipefitting experience (Preferred)
  • IT skills: Microsoft Word and Excel (minimum)
  • HSEQ focused, service minded and structured
  • High standards in quality of work and excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding and Knowledge of Engineering drawings
  • Good working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills
